Fairfax Soccer League Over-60 8v8 Pilot Season

We are excited to launch our Spring 2026 Pilot Season! This is a premier opportunity for players in the Northern Virginia area to stay active, compete, and connect with the local soccer community. 

League Overview

• Format: 8v8 Round-Robin 

• Teams: Limited to 4 teams 

• Matches: 4 matches per team 

• Duration: 50 minutes per match (2 x 25-minute halves) 

• Entry Fee: $400 per team if paid in one payment/   or  $40 per player
  
  

Eligibility Requirements

• Field Players: Must 59 years or older to be eligible. 

• Goalkeepers: Exempt from the age requirement, but are strictly restricted to the goalkeeper position and may not play as field players.

Schedule & Venue

• Location:  Nottoway Park at  9537 Courthouse Rd, Vienna, VA 22181 

• Game Dates: Fridays nights,  May 1, May 8, May 15, and May 22, 2026 

• Kickoff Times: Each team will play two matches at 9:00 PM and two matches at 10:00 PM over the course of the pilot. must be present at the field 15 minutes before the kick off time. 

• After registration:  as free agent, you will be assigned to a team roster. 

Key Match Rules

• Prompt Start: The clock starts exactly at 9:00 PM or 10:00 PM. Teams must be on the pitch and ready at 8:50pm and 9:50pm. 

• Minimum Roster: A team must have at least 5 players present to begin a match. 

• Forfeit Rule: If a team cannot field 5 players within 10 minutes of the scheduled kickoff, the match is recorded as a 0-3 loss, with $60 penalty to be paid to the league to cover ref and field cost. 

• Roster Size: Teams must have a minimum of 10 players.
